The Friend 2024 HDRip.DVD9 Download via Magnet
It follows a story of love, friendship, grief, and healing, about a writer who adopts a Great Dane that belonged to a deceased friend and mentor. While most authors do not like the film adaptation of their book, Sigrid Nunez has stated that she is satisfied with how her book is presented in this film adaptation. Seen at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 1. October 11, 2024 (First viewing) Format: Regular theatre The story doesn’t know what direction it is taking, so most of the time it just goes on and on, which seems like it has no end. and here comes the part where the observer will feel the long and heavy of its runtime, which is not even long but seems that way because of the slow and sometimes boring pace the story has. The dog is undoubtedly the best part of the movie. The way he was trained to show these emotions and use his body language to say something is very impressive. I didn’t really like the way the story dealt with Bill Murray’s character because it felt very pointless to me. To me, the movie is more like a story between a dog and a grieving person and not about a suicidal writer who died and left a dog out. It felt very chaotic in this aspect and could have easily gone deeper in terms of this theme or shown a flashback that will support Bill Murray’s character. Other than that, nothing else special but overall, a cute and warm movie to watch!
