Narrative

In 1980s Indiana, a group of young friends witness supernatural forces and secret government operations. As they search for answers, the kids uncover a series of incredible mysteries. Steve Perry, former lead singer of the band Journey, said that Stranger Things Season 4’s remix of Journey’s 1980s hit “Separate Ways” (Worlds Apart) was pretty much what he wanted in the 1980s, but it lacked the technology.

I’m one of those people who was confused by the idea that this was a children’s drama, from the commercials that you swear were for 4 o’clock after school, the reality is far from it. It’s a pretty intense drama, completely immersive, the kind of show you can’t help but watch. As someone who grew up in the 80s, I can appreciate the detail that went into the production, it’s like they went back and recorded it live, it’s incredibly well done.

It’s like The Goonies meets The Quatermass Experiment

I really like the music, it’s so fitting, it takes me back to the great shows of the 80s. The quality in seasons one and two, I love the build-up and tension that’s abundant in season one. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are science fiction.
