Narrative<\/h2>\n

After being resurrected by a sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to the timid town of Miles County where he targets a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night.. Scenes shot in the "Terrifier" haunted house were filmed in a real haunted house called Fright Factory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Art's favorite acid is fluoroantimonic acid, which he has in a clear glass bottle. It is a superacid capable of dissolving even glass.. <\/p>\n

Art the Clown: <\/h4>\n

There is a mid-credits scene at a psychiatric hospital featuring Chris Jericho as security guard Alan Burke and Leah Voysey as the nurse .. The German DVD and Blu-ray releases by Tiberius Film is cut by approx. three minutes to secure a "Not under 18" rating (this was necessary since the guidelines for video releases are more strict than for theatrical releases). Basically every violent scene was trimmed to tone down the violence. <\/p>\n

It unapologetically marches to its drum, treading the line between tongue-in-cheek and exploitation<\/h4>\n

And in addition to the icky practical effects (which are taken to the next level), it has what's been missing in most genre offerings lately: a wicked sense of humor. Some have proclaimed Art the Clown to be this generation's "Freddy"."Terrifier 2" also benefits from a fun supporting cast and a strong lead. The teen protagonists, while disposable of course, are less cloying than in many modern horror films, and I was legitimately bummed when a couple of them met their very very grisly demise.The film does shift gears at the 2-hour mark, introducing a new plot development that proves a real head-scratcher and may test some viewers' patience (but I am sure Leone has his reasons and the payoff will be worth it). Thankfully, the film establishes an internal logic early on so that when the film goes further into full-blown surreal mode, viewers are more willing to suspend disbelief.Minor quibbles aside, Terrifier 2 delivers and would make an ideal midnight double bill with its predecessor . <\/p>\n

The tone is less "Hostel" and more "Evil Dead" or 'Troma Films' in my opinion<\/h4>\n

I suspect that everyone involved in its production had a blast making it and its target audience will too.*****Final note: If you are concerned that the gore factor might be too much to take, I will say that the kills are so extreme and over-the-top that they often feel more befitting to a cult horror\/comedy rather than to your standard torture porn.\n<\/p>\n
